Usually on Tuesdays, Gerry Mander (regular customer and good friend) pops in for a wee drop and ultimately ends up on his arse doing his version of the beer can can. He's no ballet artist, but he has a leg up on all the others in this joint!

Frankly, I think it's a fake leg. If it was real, I believe it would have its own pant leg (especially in winter) and possess the capability of independent movement. Then he wouldn't have to sit on the floor to dance; he could use a chair or a sharp stick.
"OK, I'm not totally stupid" (said with a Monty Python accent). I just noticed the title of the video - "Tree Legged Dancer" and "wooden" ya know it - it struck me like a ton of logs.I confered with my good friend, Pinnocchio, and we agreed that the cellulostic content of the video is quite high.
I have to tell you Celtfire, the leg was real and the dance authentic. If you think the dance was easy, I have to tell you it wasn't because I was touched by the spirit of John Jameson. I "wood" have loved to have sat on a chair, as you suggested, but it "wood" have required that I raise me arse off the floor to the higher perch. Not this time. Your suggestion gives me incentive to have another go at it on a future trip to lovely Auntie Betty's cottage in Killarney. I'm sure it will give a new meaning to Irish chair dancing.
